The Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge at Alviso, will offer education classes with a watershed theme to spread the watershed protection message to the public.

Founded in 1974 and administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge exists to preserve wildlife habitat, protect threatened and endangered species, protect migratory birds, and provide opportunities for nature study. 

KFOX

KFOX jumped right in to help the Watershed Watch campaign.  KFOX will air public service announcements and distribute Watershed Watch materials at station appearances.

The Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose

The Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose serves the needs of children, families and schools as a center for learning and discovery.

The Watershed Watch campaign is happy to announce that the Watershed Watch message is now a part of the overall learning experience at The Children's Discovery Museum.  Watershed Watch will be partnering with the museum for special events, sponsoring a web page for the museum's BioSITE program and Watershed Watch Kits will be distributed at the museum.

Creek Connections Action Group

The goal of the Creek Connections Action Group (CCAG) is to collaborate creek cleanup efforts in Santa Clara County.  Since the CCAG's inception, thousands of volunteers have participated in hundreds of cleanups, removing thousands of pounds of trash each year from creeks, rivers and lakes. 

The Watershed Watch campaign is now part of this grassroots effort as a co-sponsor of  CCAG's Spring and Fall creek cleanup events.

Santa Clara County Household Hazardous Waste

Santa Clara County Household Hazardous Waste provides the community with practical pollution prevention options for the use, recycling, and disposal of products containing hazardous substances. 

Protecting the environment, our watershed and public health from the effects of improper disposal of hazardous waste makes Santa Clara County Household Hazardous Waste a perfect match as a new partner in the Watershed Watch campaign.

United Neighborhoods of Santa Clara County

United Neighborhoods of Santa Clara County is a coalition of neighborhood associations from throughout Santa Clara County that have come together for the purposes of education, communication and common action. This "can do" attitude will be invaluable as our new partner, UNSCC, joins us to help protect our community's watershed and the health and well-being of the residents and environment in Santa Clara County.



The Watershed Project

 

The mission of the Watershed Project is to promote understanding and appreciation of the natural resources of the San Francisco Bay Area; increase awareness of the human impacts upon these resources; and inspire community involvement and action that will protect and restore the Estuary and the watershed that surrounds it.

RAFT

RAFT, Resource Area For Teachers, is a non-profit organization located in San Jose, California. RAFT serves over 4,500 Bay Area teachers providing them with hands-on interactive learning materials and professional training workshops to use those materials in the school curriculum.  RAFT enriches the learning experience of nearly 800,000 children in the Bay Area each year. In addition, over 170,000 cubic feet of reusable material are saved from landfill each year.


 
Gilroy Gardens

Gilroy Gardens, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is California’s only horticultural theme park designed for garden lovers as well as families with young children.  The Park features over 40 rides and attractions, including majestic gardens, educational exhibits, and the world famous Circus Trees. SPCWC is a collection of community residents, city representatives, agency officials, scientists, environmental advocates, and other interested stakeholders with a common vision for a better watershed. All community members and interested parties are invited and strongly encouraged to participate!  We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities so you can take action and make a difference where you live.
 

Friends of Guadalupe
River Park & Gardens

 
The Friends of Guadalupe River Park & Gardens provide community leadership for the development and active use of the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens through education, advocacy and stewardship.  Guadalupe River Park is a three-mile ribbon of park land that runs along the banks of the Guadalupe River in the heart of downtown San Jose from Highway 880 at the north, to Highway 280 at the south. It is a resource of regional importance to the people of Santa Clara County and the Bay Area.  The Friends are continually involved in completing the master plans for both the park and gardens, creating educational programs for children and adults, promoting awareness of the Park & Gardens, and developing membership and volunteer opportunities to increase public support and involvement.
 

 
 
SCVURPPP is an association of the thirteen cities and towns (Campbell, Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Monte Sereno, Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Jose, Santa Clara, Saratoga, Sunnyvale) in the Santa Clara Valley, together with Santa Clara County and the Santa Clara Valley Water District. Program participants share a common permit to discharge stormwater to South San Francisco Bay.
